Gaia Patrignani was born in Cattolica on November 28th, 1991. During adolescence she leaves the landscape of Romagna to rediscover the one of Marche, homeland of her family. As soon as she familiarizes with the place, she enrolls in the Book School in Urbino, choosing the Engraving Techniques class. Student of strong contrasts and decisive traits, she begins to fall in love with Photography as well. Graduated and enriched with new stylistic influences, she collects ideas from books and great authors, to be able, in the end, to arrange her own light writing, buying the first camera. From the end of the path in Urbino, she continues her study as autodidact without being part of any photographic club. She therefore enrolls in classes and workshops and works with new masters, between Bologna and Pesaro, moving from lighting management for fashion pictures to street-photography, all the way to still-life flashes. She works in a photo shop in Jesi and with a maturing post-production, finally as freelance, she looks out on the world, selecting and understanding that things such as Travels and Nature are her subjects. She combines people from distant lands and not, appreciating more and more the color. Despite this, with a b/w project she gets rewarded at FacePhotoNews 2017 in Sassoferrato, for theme-section "Capolinea" (Terminus), with a portfolio named "Origin". She prefers the importance of the right shutter click time rather then posthumous modifications. Always in continuos evolution towards lights and more authentic life in the countryside of Arcevia, she proceeds living both Marches and the World, with the same love and the same camera.
Gaia Patrignani nasce a Cattolica il 28 Novembre 1991. In età adolescente lascia il paesaggio romagnolo per riscoprire quello marchigiano, terra d'origine di famiglia. Appena ambientata si iscrive alla Scuola del Libro di Urbino, scegliendo il corso di Tecniche incisorie. Allieva di forti contrasti e tratti decisi, comincia ad innamorarsi anche della Fotografia. Diplomata e arricchita di nuove influenze stilistiche, colleziona idee da libri e grandi autori, per poi riuscire a comporre la propria scrittura di luce, acquistando la prima macchina fotografica. Dalla fine del percorso in Urbino, prosegue lo studio come autodidatta senza far parte di alcun circolo fotografico. Si iscrive perciò a corsi e workshop e lavora con nuovi maestri, tra Bologna e Pesaro, passando dalla gestione luce per foto di moda alla street-photography fino ai flash per still-life. Lavora in un negozio fotografico a Jesi e con una post-produzione in maturazione, finalmente freelance si affaccia al mondo, selezionando e capendo, che cose come Viaggi e Natura sono i suoi soggetti. Combina persone con terre lontane e non, apprezzando sempre più il colore. Nonostante ciò, con un progetto in b/n viene premiata a Sassoferrato a FacePhotoNews 2017 per la sezione tema Capolinea, con un portfolio intitolato Origine. Predilige l'importanza del giusto istante di scatto piuttosto che alla modifica poi. Sempre in costante evoluzione verso luci e vita più autentica tra la campagna arceviese, prosegue abitando sia le Marche che il Mondo, con stesso amore e stessa macchina fotografica.
